$3500.00 69 daytona rear window trim/back glass on ebay

Some rare stuff has being showing up for the wingcars.On ebay back window trim for the 69 500 and daytona .And there is also nos fender scoops.And used nose cone and wing for a daytona .Also a set of superbird back window trim to.All very rare and hard to find.But not cheap.The ebay link shows chrome trim but its not there

Other than the very high price, I wouldn't be afraid to buy from that seller. (MoparMendy) I've bought a few things from him before & even met him in Ohio when I picked up a pair of '70 Charger fenders that were converted for a Daytona already. If someone thinks the glass is worth that kind of money & has that kind of cash laying around, then go for it. Not me though, I'm trying to build the whole car for that price. 

BTW, his Daytona replica is coming out really nice. He sent me a couple of pics recently, it's blue inside & out.

I know Gary Ive seen his blue car.I got him a 69 charger 500 a while ago.I only questioned why ebay link says back window trim.And only the back glass shows up.The trim and glass might even be from the parts car I got him

I've seen the auctions you're talking about, and I agree that there is some rare Daytona parts out that aren't normally seen.

However, I did not read the ad from Gary Mendelow the same - I think the auction is for the rear glass only?  I don't think the trim is included.  Could be wrong, but that's the way it looks to me...

I still only see the back glass in the auction, no mention of trim.   There's some discoloration on the bottom edge of the glass (as noted in Gary's description) that sorta looks like trim, and he says that discoloration was indeed from the trim.   I still don't think his auction includes the trim.

if i had the $$$ id buy all that stuff and eventually find a real daytona window plu and then get a 1969 charger r/t and build a 69 daytona out of real daytona parts and build it off the r/t just like creatice industries back in the late 60's-MATT

I'm sure the $3500 is the trim price, the rear glass is only worth $1500, ......man that's a lot of doe!......and you thought my prices were high gary is a good,trustworthy, honest guy if you are cosidering a deal with him!...........I sold him many parts to get his Janak kit upto "snuff", his daytona started life as a 69 base model, he installed a NOS rear window plug, an original wing, janak nosecone/valanca/scoops, I supplied him steel Z bars,latch tray headlite bucket/pivot assys,and assorted odds  & ends to complete his wingcar, he's done a great job on building his clone! you'd be hard pressed to tell it apart from an original!

Mike, while I wouldn't argue for a moment that the back glass should not command a $3,500 price tag (with the date-coded excellent reproductions available in the market), the fact is that this auction is NOT for the trim.  The mouldings/trim is not included with the glass purchase either.  The $3,500 is what Gary wants for the glass alone.

I've dealt with Gary a few times, and found him to be very fair to deal with.  In this instance you either want the original glass at his price, or you don't.  The market will dictate whether his price is too high.  He can ask what he wants, I suppose, but we're not obligated to pay that much if we feel it's too high.  I am glad that my back glass appears to be in good shape.   Hope it doesn't get damaged when we pull it out though...

I do want to check his car out sometime, since I've heard a little bit about the lengths he's gone to in order to make a high quality, well-detailed clone.  Sounds like it's a nice one.

My rear glass has some minor D A marks,but after seeing that price,I think I will live with them. I was going to try to buff them out,but now I am having second thoughts about that. When I take the glass out I am going to build a crate to store it in. It will be padded on the inside so nothing can happen to it! And the same goes for the trim!

I concur.  First experience was sending him almost a grand without a feedback forumn.  He shipped me crated NOS items for the C500, and I was very happy with them.
