69 front turn signals

Having a problem with my front parking lights and turn signals on my '69. I've checked them at the joint from fixture to harness with a test light and get readings its working. (one flashes, one constant on) So Im guessing its working? Once I plug the fixtures in and turn on the driving lights the turn signal indicators on the dash on both sides lights up..? Then no driving lights but still turn signals...? I have bulb #2057. Anybody got an idea??

have they ever worked correctly  since you have had the car ?   first thing  make sure the 2 headlamp harness ground wires that go to the  radiator support are on shiny metal  , also make sure the  actual lamp body  is grounded , its only done the factory way by the mounting screws , so if you have thick paint  , it wont ground  ,  i run a  extra  ground wire to each , because im nutts like that

I cleaned off all the paint/primer from the speed nuts, and then the top of the fixture and

ahhh , i was about to say its your ground, but its been said.  I had to check my ground for a strong mounting point and then it worked fine
