Sunny & finally in the high 50's / low 60's yesterday. I took my red 70' out for a spin yesterday. No-where to go, just had to do it. Went by a couple of buddies houses. Man, it was a long winter. Felt good to drive it again. Hopefully winter is finally over.

yep. sure would be nice if we could have a break in the rain up here in washington so we could pull the liz out soon. I did start it up last night to blow some of the carbon out.  :D

Weather Finally cleared up and after I spent all day Saturday doing the rear leaf spring and shock upgrade I was actually able to take the liz out on Saturday evening for a little cruise. Felt great getting it back out on the road again.   :2thumbs:

best part was that since I finished the Job on Saturday I'm able to say I got it done before spring hit.  :yesnod:

Yeah, this is the first year in many many years I can actually say I had something ready to just jump in & go as soon as the weather breaks. Its always something. I am all of the sudden throwing fan or p.s. belts at anything over 6200ish+. Same pulleys & accessories that have been on the car before I bought it over twenty years ago, probaby all originals i am guessing. Not all the time & not always the same belt. I have just been shifting alittle sooner & it seems fine. Just need to just keep this as a the crusier anyway & get the Challenger done for the beating on. Still want to get it out to the track the year to see what the new engine runs.

Most women don't understand. Mine still don't believe me that the feeling I get from cruising or racing my cars is more satifiying then her. Yeah, I know I need help.... I love her to death too though. And she put up with all of my car stuff. Its a good thing we don't have alot of money or I would have a lot more cars. She wants a 73' Cuda, So maybe once I get her that she'll understand.

Got mine out last Friday morning and have driven it to work the last couple days. The kids at school sure like these old cars.

I see the opposite. I picked up my daughter from school/practice yesterday evening in my Charger. I noticed not one kid even looks at it like they would of when I was a kid. We would of been drooling all over it when I was a kid. Most kids today don't even know what it is.

There is one paticular kid at the school that talks to me about it all the time. He told me that he would help me on my 68 if I give him the 73 when we're finished.

It's a shame, but from my experience in high school (and even college) you're exactly right. I didn't have but a couple of people to actually talk cars with, and most anyone I knew could care less about old cars and "restoration." So many people just don't get it. Also, today kids can put a different chip or "map" in their car along with some tacky shit on the outside and it's been "hotrodded." No need to know how to do anything else! :pity: :rotz:
