Hey gang...
What is the proper length of the dipstick from the beginning (where my finger is pointing) to the end? I think I have a proper one in my Daytona, but want to make sure. It had an chrome MP version in it previously, but I installed an OEM tube/stick in it. Want to make sure. It is a '69 440.

Thanks..

Thanks for asking this question :yesnod:

I have an aftermarket dip stick without any markings on it and am wondering the same thing. Also not trying to thread hijack but a related question. If anyone can chime in on a length from hemi's finger to where the full/low marks are would be quite helpful. Thanks.

19-3/8 to the full dot, 19-15/16 to the add.  The flat portion is 21-1/4 long and top of the handle to the bottom tip is...   ... 25".

How long is the dip stick tube in the block supposed to be ?

Thanks everyone... Seems the one I have in my Daytona is correct. Now I'll just get another one from Jaime over at MegaParts...

where did you find an OEM ? MP pieces are way longer and reading marks are off from my original piece.

( will be great to find a 73 and lates piece though )

Hey Nacho..
I took the one out of my C500's 440. I then got a replacement reproduction from MegaPartsUSA to swap back........ The length is fine. The fit of the reproduction wasn't the greatest, but it worked with a little bending here and there.....
