Well, I've been looking for a new ride for daily driver use for a few months now. I've been lucky enough to use my dad's old pickup for the past 5 1/2 years, and sadly, it's about to reach the end of it's life (in it's original, unrebuilt state anyways). My goal was to find a car that I could drive everyday without any headaches, that is cool, has some good power, and was affordable.  This is what I came up with.

It's a 1998 SVT Cobra. Bought brand new by a doctor about 40 miles from my hometown. He sold it to his 30 something year old nephew in July of last year, and I bought it from him today. This thing is like brand new all over.  I was so shocked when he backed it out of the garage and saw how clean it was. And the paint is SO bright. 70,000 documented, original miles on this one and all paperwork and reciepts since new. I pretty proud of myself. It was a great day for a top-down ride too  :icon_smile_cool:

Awesome choice for a daily driver! :2thumbs: I got a pretty modded '90 5.0L 5spd I use as my daily driver.

Some here will snicker, but that is a very desireable car & most worthy of keeper status.

They are a blast. We picked the wife up an '03 GT Convertible last summer. 30k miles. Triple Black.

The car is ultra-comfortable. Rides like a dream and has decent power... Although, that's about to change...

Here's her baby... Since it's been put away, it's been lowered a bit, Baer brakes and everything is powdercoated.

BTW -- Nice car you have there!!! Good find!!  :yesnod: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Very nice ride! I'm partial to Mustangs myself, as I daily drive an '89 LX 5.0/5-speed and also own a '79 Cobra with a 5.0/5-speed as well.

Should be getting it tagged and insured tomorrow morning. Can't wait to take it on a nice, top-down cruise!  I think my best friend and I might take it on a Hwy 90 ride to Jacksonville for a concert Tuesday.

My brother has had two Mustangs with the 4.6 engine in them.  They were both great, especially the DOHC version in his 2003 Mach 1.  Luckily, the Cobra 4.6 in 1998 was a DOHC version too.  Over 300 horsepower and nearly 30 mpg on the highway. I can't really ask for more than that!

I've seen your badass Cobra but I wouldn't mind seeing pictures of the LX :2thumbs:

Thanks. I noticed your LX in your signature and it looks great! My '89 now has 130,000 miles on it and it runs great. The only modifications are the 3.73's in the rearend and the Draglites. It's the original paint and interior as well. Here's a few pic's and then we'll have to get back on topic.

You're going to love it! I have a bunch of friends that I hang around with and they're all Mustang guys too. One has a '96 Cobra and another has an '04 Mach I with a ProCharger on it. They both ride so nice and are a lot faster than my '89, though my Cobra can hang with them. Ford has really sharpened their pencils when it comes to the '94-up Mustangs.

By the way, your Charger is beautiful!
