Hey forum, know I haven't been postin in awhile (job won't allow) so just giving a last goodbye as tomorrow the Charger will be sold after 10 years, this is really killin me but financially it's not possible to keep it. The buyer is local so I may see it around at a car show but not sure if I want to. After pulling it out of the garage this morning and putting in some new plugs, its running great/sounding mean/and looking pissed off....just stopping for gas, people were coming up asking to take a pic of it and necks were craning as the Charger rolled passed down the road.  I took it with me to work today as its the northeasts first 60 degree day, I hope I can go through with this tomorrow, not sure if I can but......................... Im gonna miss my sweet 68.

Sorry that you had to make such a difficult decision, may God bless you and your family.

Life gets in the way sometimes, but at the end of the day, a car is a car is a car.  But family, priorities, and life do come first.  Put a spin on it to help with things, though.  They'll be another day when you can buy another one, and they will always be out there.  Keep the dream alive by thinking of what options the next one will have and maybe that'll keep the fire burning for when the day comes you can turn the key on another :2thumbs:

And still stop by to say hi! Just because you don't have a Charger, doesn't mean you're not an enthusiast.  You still have knowledge to help others out who may need it!  And that's what this site is about; enthusiasts.  Here's to you for doing what you have to do , and chin up.  Tomorrow is another day and your next Charger is out there somewhere.  It just doesn't know it yet! :yesnod:

Cheers

....even worse thats going local & you'll see it at a show etc.  That would be real tough for me....if mine had to go it would have to be at least 3 states away!!

Sad situation when you have to sell the beast.   I would have a hard time parting with that beautiful car.    :'(
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

Sorry to hear it, things are bad all over. I have been debating letting mine go, I just know that I will never get another if I do. I hope it all works out well for you.

What have we had 3 or 4 people the last 6 months sell their Chargers because they HAD to?

Things don't look much better in the near future either so I hope selling the Charger takes care of the $$ situation.

This is sad news. Sorry that you are in this position. I like your car. My 70 was F8 green but my mind was set on a color change to red. The 68 model is my favorite of the 2nd gen Chargers, with the 70 a close second. Some consolation... the way your car looks, I'll bet you got a good price. Best of luck.

we laughed (at the new charger), we cried ( when we saw the new charger ) I'll miss this forum. shes officially gone today, hope the new owner doesn't mind the rubber on the quarters, thanks everyone for the thoughts..... 4forty signing off  :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Your final picture is poetic.... OFF into the sunset ! Wheres my handkerchief, sniff, sniff....

I just went and looked at my Charger. Many times I forget just how lucky I am in getting it for such a cheap price & not needing to sell it ,which go hand in hand. Not gloating just stating it is easy to forget how fortunate I am as if Moe wouldn't have told me about it I doubt I would ever have been able to own a 69 Charger.

Sorry to see you go. I know the feeling. Back in the previous recession 90-93, I had to sell my toys. Came with-in a few months of losing my house, was a depressing time for me. Didn't have a support group like this board back then.

Sorry to see you part with such a beautiful car.....but really, you should have listed it for sale here!

Many devoted members on the site are looking to purchase a Charger, and watch the classifieds regularly.... and I'm talking about really good people, not flippers.

I sold mine a few months ago. I'm returning to school, and wanted to get rid of my truck payment and credit card debt because I can't work as much during semesters. It was a really tough decision, but I'll have another one someday. Needless to say, I've been creeping on the charger forum quite a bit lately. It's refreshing to see what everyone else has for projects and woes.

:yesnod: :yesnod:   I've had to sell a couple Chargers in my day, and other stuff.  There will be another day when you will get that excitement feeling of buying a Charger again..
