I am going to say he runs MT drag radial tires so tire spin shouldn't be because of hard street rubber.

Now it will be getting the package sorted out which I plan on following for my benefit also.

Plus FLG this is for motivation not a jab, at least not this time

I voted for 14...14.49.  I based that on my experience back in the day with my new '68 R/T (440/727/3.23) on tracks in SoCal.  The best the car ever ran was 14.03.  That was with open headers and a Mallory dual point dizzy.  Other than that the car was stock.  In total stock form it ran mid 14's.  FLG's build sounds like a fairly stock build except for a little more cam.  Being that he's not going to run headers, the times should be comparable to what I was running back then.  Bob

For as much that he wanted a couple HP here & there why run manifolds, even HP ones. Well I am going with the HP he made & the fact it should hook & go so I think it should be a little quicker than mid 14's.

There's no 16-17,so I will have to go with the 15-16 range. 2.0 sixty foot,98-100 mph.

I had to search some but 3.23 gears and mild-stock? converter.

Honestly unless he blows the tires off he should at least be in the 15's as I don't expect him to run untill it is sorted out.

Be nice if FLG posted some details.

Im going to guess the 14:00-14:49 range his first time out...with practice he might get lower

His build is similar to mine and my best run to date is a 13:55 @ 102 with a 2.095 60' time...full stock exhaust with 3.55's
Took a lot of practice with my street tires to get it that low.

If the car hooks and the weight comes in at 3900 or less it should run mid 13's all sorted out  :Twocents:

Aww, Jackie, thats not nice.  Funny!  But not nice!

I think he will bog it and stall it.   :smilielol:  all kidding aside Frank, I'd say you should get around 14.5 on the first run and improve from there on.

It be nice if FLG knew this thread was here  :smilielol:

Im working on a little something so the HP numbers that were posted will be higher. I really have not much invested in the heads that are on there, so besides some work on my own part i wont be throwing away money.

SOOOOOOO

Im going to get a set of 440 source aluminum heads on there with some port work, keep everything else.

Ok, if you do that, I'll modify my time from 14.5 to 14.4.   :nana:
