Got another question for the pros. I've had three different chargers over the years and am now down to one. Recently I found a broadcast sheet. What part of the sheet tells you what car is it for? Is it the sequence number on the top left or the sequential number on the top right, or another spot. Could I go by the eng. build code on the second to last row. It is 699 in this box. Could that be a 318 motor. One of the dodges was a 318, the other two were 383. One a 69 and my current car, a 68. Thanks for any help figureing this out. I got the feeling this is a 318 car broadcast sheet and that car is long gone except for the hood.

the last four digits top right - should match the Vehicle Identification Number or VIN tag in the windshield, where'd you find the tag?.. often the ones under the back seat wont match as the seats especially black ones got swapped around a lot at the factory where they were piled in a heap,.. or so I've read.  :shruggy:

If the engine build code is on the second to last row, it's a 67 or 68 sheet so that narrows it down a little. Look on the top row of the sheet under Vehicle Identification number. If it was for a 318 Charger, it will start XP29F8 then B or G then the sequence number.

699 is in the likely range for a 68 318 engine assembly number but I don't have proof of that.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

After looking at those sequential numbers, I could see three, they were not on the vin of my current car. So the sheet must be for the 318 car that I dont have. I got out my magnifying glass and could see the vehicle id number but the first five boxes under it were empty except for the box under the sequential number. Was signed on the back by somebody named Vinny, maybe he's a member. ;)
