This is probably not the ideal place to post about this guy (I can already see the barrage of not so thinly veiled racist jokes and predictable "cRap sucks" replies) but Nate Dogg was pretty cool back in the mid 90s when I was in high school. I wasnt (still realy not) that much into rap but I did like a lot of the G-funk era stuff.

I won't ding you on your rapper hero stuff (because it's way too easy) but I do have something else I'd like to address. You really like that stupid "wont be down for breakfast" line, don't you?

By the way, did these guys really need the canes or are they just a showoff money pit?

Who?

...and what is the deal with "dog" anyway?

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

Yeah i kinda dig the catchphrase. The cane is to beat up bitches if they give you road trouble.

For some reason this death made me feel old.  Not sure why.

He was 41, and he was having massive paralyzing strokes?  Sounds like health problems indeed.  At least he lived it up while he was here.

Im sure it is. One of my "last straws" over there was when Chris Henry of the Bengals died just over a year ago. Some of the comments were downright vitriolic and racist -"no big loss...he was a thug" or "he deserved it" and so on and the moderators let it go on for days. Meanwhile id gotten 'vacations' from there for making a crack about some old white guy (dont even remember who it was).

FWIW around here were equally insensitive to anyone that kicks the bucket, regardless of age, race or creed.

That's right, the hanging rope doesn't care what color neck skin it goes around.

they're not saying, but drugs are always a possibility until they say otherwise.

BTW - the guy was a Marine and served three years. Sure, not a long career but that's still 3 more years than most of us (myself included) have served.  :patriot:
