For those that really want to beat their head against the wall.  The mom of the bully is demanding an apology from the big kid.  And from what I've heard, the big kid had been picked on a lot at school.

Frankly, if I was the big kids parents, my words of choice wouldn't be appropriate to air on tv.

Actually it appears she is making her son apologize.

Screw the bully's parents, maybe they need to get their kid some counseling. If my kid was the one being bullied & did that in self defense, I would have him apologize & say, "I'm sorry about your leg, I meant that to be your head."

I used to be bullied in school, from 2nd grade all the way through graduating high school.  The only reason I didn't fight back very often was that it always would end up with ME being in trouble and the bullies would get away scott free.

Kudos to the kid fighting back, I wish I was able to do that more when I was a kid...

...and I condemn those people in authority who are punishing the kid for standing up for himself.  They failed in preventing the bullying in the first place, and they are failing in recognizing who is the real problem here (the bully).

I was repeatedly bullied by this one kid at school many years ago. I thought enough was enough and took up freestyle martial arts and kockboxing. The bullying persisted for years and I never retaliated until shortly after my brown belt grading. He bullied me and moved in a little closer to try and hit me. I crouched a little in preparation when a friend of mine yelled out to him "watch out...he's a brown belt!" The bully hesitated for a second and scoffed "yeah right". Just as he raised his fist, I sidekicked him square in the face. The impact fractured his jaw, broke his nose and broke 2 teeth.

He told his parents he sustained the injuries falling off his bike down a hill...6 months later we became friends and I continued with martial arts and he was my first student! He never bullied anyone after that! 22 years later we are still good friends. He told me he picked on me because I was an easy target because I never fought back
Make it idiot proof, and somebody will make a better idiot!

If you think Education is difficult, try being stupid!

Kockboxing, sounds painfull :icon_smile_big: Good on you, most bullies need a good belting to knock some sense into them.
