Some of you guys have seen more of my car on cc.com than on here... So I thought I would finally share. Two years mine, 3rd owner. She was a 318 car, now 383 AT. Did everything myself, always learning. Plan on just a cruzing version for now. Future will hold AC, some discs, and larger wheels. These were just what she came with.

For a cut like that I used some old wool we had. I believe thats the ol' "Nu Finish" shine. Factory R6 red car... 'cept ALL my cars have been red.  :icon_smile_dissapprove: I didn't want red or orange, couldn't do anything like that. So, to be like everyone else I went black. The black paint still needs 3 steps of buffing. We use 3M Perfect It to #3, then Adams Car Care with the random-orbit for 3-6, but by #4 your really just hiding it. I also use Adams fine finishing towels for all work buffing, its the only way... Detail is with Wizards Mist-n-shine, makes it like glass.  :2thumbs:

I like the wheels in the second pic. What brand of wheels are they?

Patronus

They are Wheel Vintiques V-48, patterned off the vintage mini-light trans-am version. They look ok on the Charger, I just wanted to see what the 17" looked like.

Just wondering why the high gloss on the dash?
Wouldn't it cause glare in the sun?

Patronus

The dash is satin, same as hood and tail panel. I did at one point paint it gloss. Then, thanks to folks here, realized my mistake...

Tomorrow's a big day, I will let someone else touch her and install front and rear glass.  :-\ I don't like it. But, I tried once without success to perform the task myself. I did not try the rope method of installing gasket and glass, and then feeding interior seal around pinch weld with rope. I will try and stay out of the way, yet you know I'll be mother hen.  :whistling: Finally wont have to wear goggles when I drive!  :coolgleamA:

After 40 years there are a few sand pits and you just ignore it and squint your eyes.  New glass up front makes such a difference and makes it feel like a brand new car.  Super nice shine too.  I would cover it and mask it while they are sealing the windsheild.

I think the new glass is what really makes a resto stand out. I had to cancel the install, they were saying one thing and doing another so... :slap: Tomorrow morning Im having to drive it about 2 miles (with no glass) to a safelite shop. Im going to bring easy release tape and some 18" paper, towels, moving blankets, whatever it takes. I've been told to wear bomber goggles and a scarf... maybe one long enough to go out the back glass??  :D
