Hood pins: front to rear or left to right?

All the ones I've have seen have been lt-2-rt. The pins are oriented so you can pull them straight out when standing next to the fender. Don't want them front to rear, would be too awkward trying to pull them leaning over the nose..............

Here's a former thread of mine on the subject when I first got my Daytona... Like a lot, the lanyard was attached to the fender, not the bezel as it should. Of course, like you, I HAVE to have those little things correct...

Based on the picture below of the Daytonas waiting at Creative Industries, I put my attach point to the rear. I'm sure, depending on the tech working on a particular car, variations occured.

Oppppsss: I did put mine to the front like Geno mentioned and showed of Jim's.... Man, I'm losing it.....  But, regardless, I think it "could" have gone either way?
