Strut rod is rubbing against sway bar link(both sides).

Is this how the drive shaft should be? 440/727 and 8 3/4(car is on the ground).

Thanks!

Your sway bar is not mounted correctly. The end links should be on the other side of the strut rod.

Here is a pic from the hotchkis instructions

I say wrong sway bar or wrong lower control arms....those end link kits are at too much of an angle.

Also, the driveline may be too short...looks like too much yoke is out of the trans

It seems like you have the '70 style LCA's. These came on a different K-member that ran the sway bar through it instead of in front. Older LCA's have (if they have any) the sway bar link bracket welded on outside the strut rod mounting hole. You need LCA's like that or a small bracket to be attached with the shock bolt. Look at www.firmfeel.com. You might find a picture there that shows these small brackets they sell together with their sway bars. For your other question it might look like the joke should be a little deeper in the tail housing. Others might shime in on this. Hope this helps.

sway bar mounting bracket looks after market.

I would say its not the right sway bar for the car.

Would it be possible to bend the sway bar so it would work? I'm not gonna change LCA's because of this.

Anybody has pictures how the correct length drive shaft (yoke) should look? Measurements?

This is how the drive shaft looks from the back btw:

Thanks!

drive shaft is round the wrong way !! the balancing ring ie for 68 & earlier cars  has  the slider yoke conected to it & goes into the gearbox

Yep! Not too hard a fix though. The driveshaft might still be too short though. It should be 52" long IIRC.

If not changing LCAs, you will likely at least have to change to 70 style sway bar to match. Gotta change one of them.

I see, it's like a 10-year-old has put this thing together or something. :shruggy: Will check how long my drive shaft is.

The slip yoke extension is OK, the rear seal without a dust boot just makes it look like too much shaft is exposed.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

You might be right! http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,57633.0.html

"If" I have the correct drive shaft, do you guys think it necessary to flip it, so that the balancing/inertia ring would be up front?  :scratchchin:

What about this?

Ive seen some of the sway bars mounted both ways. The sway bar has a bend on the end of the bar itself.Like in this pic it is mounted with the bend up and Ive seen some pics with the bend mounted toward the ground. So which way is correct.I took mine off of my car and I was thinking it was bend toward the ground, should have took some notes. So which way is correct?
