I'm kicking tires on a local (central NC) 70 Charger R/T. No pics, but here's the skinny:

REAL R/T (XS29U0G). Was an auto on column with center arm rest, previous owner added 4-speed with pedals and non-console hump. (Was this even available on a 70 Charger?)
Was green with green top, TAN interior. NOW Top Banana Yellow exterior. 8-3/4 rear.

Needs total assembly, but paint is new and has new floor patches, quarter skins and trunk floor. Southern car with little rust to start. I think they went overboard with full panel replacements, but....

Other new parts include rebuilt white-faced gauges done by Redline, main wiring harness, dash pad, aftermarket A/C (CCA).

Grille is near mint.

Seats still need recovering.

What do y'all think?

We need more info. dude. Whats the guy asking for it?
Is there a motor with the car?
Is it the original engine?
Is the transmission in the car?
Is the exhaust system in the car?
What brakes are on the car?
Are all the side marker lenses and door scoops intact?
See what I mean?  We cant help if you if you leave out this much crucial information.

I know....I was pretty vague there. Let's see if I can offer some more info.....

He wants to trade me this Charger project for my finished 73 Challenger. I'm an E-body and 3rd gen. Charger guy, so I know little about these 2nd gen. cars.

When current owner got the car, it ran & drove and had a 383 and 4-speed in it. I'm assuming that's included. Obviously not correct, original or matching. No motor in the car right now. He spoke of an 18-spline tranny, but I don't know if that's included.

Door scoops - YES (In good condition) Sidemarkers, other lights/lenses - unknown.

Exhaust - Unknown

Brakes - Factory drums (According to the brochure, 11 x3 & 11 x 2-1/2   http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/DealershipDataBook/1970/70_Charger0015.jpg )

I will talk to current owner again in the next couple days and add more as I get it.

Here's that car at some point in it's life.

Man, you have quite the crystal ball there!

Is that at Tommy's in Danville?

Kern Dog

I am biased toward the 68-70 Chargers, so my answers will be obvious.
I'd trade just about any E body over those cars, unless the Charger was rusted to the roof. The 68-70 is better in every aspect.
