reproduction tach wiring harness? Correct wires and plugs?

Hi folks,

I have a reproduction tach installed (rbyj.com) and am in the process of restoring my engine bay. The car ('68 Charger R/T) didn't originally come with a tach. I installed a reproduction engine harness (Y1) and now need to wire my tach.

According to what I could find out, the wire from the coil to the firewall needs to be grey with a black tracer. The female plug at the firewall should be grey, the male black.

How is the wire connected to the coil? With a ring terminal?

Was the additional wire wrapped into the main harness? Or was the original harness just wrapped a second time with the additional wire?

Does anybody sell a correct reproduction harness? The one from chargerspecialties.com seems to be nice but use different colors?

Where would I find a correct rubber plug for the firewall?

I know, many questions.

You can buy a repro tach harness also.  I know Bill Evans @ Evans Wiring makes them.  I use his harnesses first if he has/makes the one I need before Year One's, he does great work.

It's not here yet, I'm overseas so that's perfectly normal.

Got an answer from chargerspecialties.net aswell. Theirs doesn't have the correct colors. Thanks again for the link. I'll post pictures as soon as I have it!
