I know how you feel! There is nothing I can do to my Charger right now that wouldn't cost money, or be premature. I'm going crazy, I so badly want to work on it, but there is nothing I can do at the moment! It's torture!  :brickwall:

I know what your going through. I got a 71 and no money to dump into it! making me go crazy the best i can do is try to find parts and get a price. I have literally 2 bucks in my account. thinking about selling some stuff that i dont need
I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, but I'm all out of bubble gum.

Yea man, I feel your pain!  I tour for a living currently and only get home once a month at best, sometimes it goes 2-3 months that I'm not home...  :-\

However, to "reward" myself for being able to do this I buy myself something for my '70 every time I'm away.  :icon_smile_big:

Better caught sanding by the wife than the "other".  ;)  Actually, "sanding", "decklid" and "TopGear" are really euphemisms, right?  :icon_smile_wink:

Oh definitely.....I have yet to drive my Charger in the 12 years I've had it. It's been a project the whole time and unfortunately needs a crap load of money for rust repair. I am glad I have my Duster though to keep me from having full withdrawls but I'm definitely having Charger withdrawls :P

Withdrawals?   Sure. For me I get antsy when I spend too much time working on the other pertinant NON car things around the house.
Not to hijack your subject or to try to top you, but......
When the wife and I were looking for a house with some property, we found the house we live in today. We had a 60 day escrow which was okay because we needed to prep and sell the house that we were in. While busy with termite repair, painting and cleaning, I threw a rod in the 440 in the Charger. I didnt want to tow the car to the new place or take a chance of misplacing stuff. I'd heard too many stories of things getting lost in the move. This meant that I'd need to get the car back running soon. I had a few extra bucks to spend so I decided to upgrade to a stroker combo, adding time and complexity. I was able to get it together with 2 weeks to spare.
I can relate to you guys that feel compelled to work on the car but are short on cash. I have been there plenty of times. I'm in construction and the economy has really kicked my trade in the pants. I havent worked more that 7 months a year since 2007. Sometimes all I can afford to do is wash the car and start it up to hear it run.

Withdrawls , Yeah plenty . I sold my 68 Charger on January 30th, so the pangs are at the acute stage now.
And there has been heaps of club runs and different cruises on in the meantime, have had to bum a ride in a mate's car. Meanwhile, the guy that brought it over the other side of town is texting me telling what a great time him and his Family are having cruising , which is pretty cool I guess anyway, nice guy too.

But, Big Empty Silent Hole in the garage, while I keep burning a hole in the internet looking for the next one  :scratchchin:
