i just put a transgo shift kit in vavle bodythe small kit few springs manual shift shaft drill a hole and file a notch.can you get rid of the accumulator spring? it doesn't say i know some kits you do and what does that do the accumulator? what happens if the spring isn't there.Plus also its the sk-tf-sc kit does any body know what size holes you drill in seperator plate?

John_Kunkel

Most TransGo kits that I've used say to reinstall the accumulator spring if equipped. There is absolutely no advantage to leaving it out regardless of what some kits instruct.

Removing the spring risks blowing the seals or damaging the Belleville spring in the rear clutch.

That's what i kind of thought they wouldn't put it there if you don't need it.did you use the kit i used if so how does it work?

John_Kunkel

I've used a lot of TF-2 kits they work great; sounds like you might be using the No-Yo-Yo kit which is OK but not as good as the TF-2.

One i used is a TF SC shift kit

John_Kunkel

The TF-SC kit is the No-Yo-Yo kit, it deals mostly with converter drainback while the TF-2 is a full reprogramming kit.

so this doesn't improve the shifting like it say's then?

John_Kunkel

It will improve shifting to a point but not as well as a full reprogramming kit.
