Well my new Crane adjustable iron rockers came in today...#64771-16 not #64770-16 like I specifically asked about before buying! Is 0.1 difference that big of a deal? What would that do to/for my old school Roadrunner "Resto" cam? How would this effect my six packs running? Why do they offer 2 ratios anyway? Man I'm getting worn down with wrong parts coming my way.... :flame:

Neal, no worries....run the 1.6's and burn some rubber  :icon_smile_big:  :drive:

The differing ratio provides greater lift at the valve. So a cam that has .518 lift wll now have .552 worth of lift. If you are running taller pistons and/or have extensive block or head milling, you could have interference problems. Safest bet is to ask your engien builder or cam Manufacturer.

346 heads were surfaced, valve job done, 3 angle cut, nothing special, stock deck not milled, sixty over 9.5 to one Speed-Pro Hyper. pistons with a Mopar P4452783 cam (268/284 duration .450/.458 lift) and P3690933 valve springs. Mopar head gasket set, standard. I'm just doing this to clean up tolerances from the rebuild and valve reseating, I have a few cloppy lifters mostly when cold. I just need to re compute "lift" and check total compressed spring height tolerance. I built this thing to run regular or mid grade for like now when gas prices shoot up.   :2thumbs:  I plan on using Mopar ball/cup pushrods made for hydraulic cam with adjustable rockers for 440.

Make sure they sent you the correct cam as it seems it's not uncommon for the wrong part number to be put on the box. This is according to Mancini themselves who supplied me that same cam part number on the packaging but a 509 lift in the box. And they have STILL done nothing to right this wrong after months and months.
Gotta love a '69

lucky me...Mancini was out of them and I got mine from JEGs. It runs like it should. My math on the ratio with exhaust @ .458 puts me @ .488, within my valve springs .500 max compressed height spec. so I'll be trying them out.
Someone had to have pulled a switch on you somewhere. Sorry for you,  :pity:  I'd be very pissed (as I'm sure you are) as it was a lumping bumpy .509 I replaced from it's "drag race only" days.

Neal, you will be fine with the 1.6's because that cam won't exceed .500 at the valve even with the 1.6's....most aftermarket performance springs are good to at least .500 valve lift if not more.  :yesnod:

As for the mispackaged cam....you can't blame Mancini for that. They purchase them from Mopar performance so if it was mispackaged the folks at MP are responsible.  :Twocents:

I agree Ron, my MP P369033 valve springs show a "lift range" of .440/.500 in the MP B-RB book. I'll re-jet the center carb to 65's as Bill O. recommended and take it from there.
The caution is well herd as I have had several "wrong" parts shipped to me and several defective items too, as in these rockers, E body rear springs, bearings, bushings and idler arm that all did not pass my inspection. (I still have my original email clearly asking if they were "Standard Ratio")   :RantExplode:

 Eventually yes! My Cherokee repairs when over budget (as always happens!) but is near done. (No paint yet!) Next will be working push rods in the Chargers budget, after reworking the six pack (100.00 worth of new gaskets, seals, fuel bowl needle seats and outboard idle mix needles so far.) (I still need a pair 65 jets for the rocker swap also!) Then there will be fiddling with vacuum pod springs. So much for my "bone stock spec. build". I hope I get that promotion @ work!!!
