On my 69 charger with a 440, I have an edelbrock performer rpm intake with an edlebrock 800cfm carb. my air cleaner is the round mopar performance one and I am having hood clearence problems. I'm wondering if anyone knows if they make an air cleaner that is a drop base and is the same diameter as the mopar one so i can still use the mopar performance lid?

Just 6T9 CHGR

Not sure of the size of the MP unit but the original round unsilenced is 13" in diameter.   Ford Motorsport makes a 13" drop base....which I used on my car....

Thanks for the info! I checked the ford air cleaner out, no sure if it will work.... The diameter of the MP air cleaner is 12 3/4". Do you know the size of the drop on the ford one?

You might consider going to a K&N with 1 1/4" drop base and filter top. That will work for sure and you'll get lots of air and no choke horn interference. The Ford kit is .625" drop. I tried one and didn't have enough room.
