I have a container going from NY and was thinking to buy 4 new tires for the Charger but all major tiredealers have the tires shipped directly from
a warehouse somewhere so I don't know how they are shipped. If they were wrapped in plastic on a palet it would be alright but if they are just 4 loose tires I don't think I dare to take the risc. Anybody ordered tires and knows how they are shipped? :scratchchin:

I had some shipped from Diamond back classics.  They were not tied together and one pair got separated from the other during shipping (UPS).  Had to wait an additional week for the second pair to arrive.  Bob

I have had four tires shipped by Fedex Ground.   Each one was individually shrink wrapped with a label on the actual tire and another on the wrapper.   No problems.

I will check with the containerfreightcompany about their requirements to be able to recieve them in a proper way from the tireshipper.

Never car tires but multiple motorcycle tires.  They always came bare and unprotected but never once had any problems.

Same here, just banded together, no plastic.  I had no problems.  These were from www.tirerack.com, which has great prices too.

Tires were stretch wrapped with a shipping label. No problem.

This fall, 4 snow tires pre-mounted on rims from the Tire Rack. They had double thick cardboard circles banded to the tires on both sides, sent individually, and I believe were shipped UPS. All arrived at once.

No problems, had them in under a week.

Ive had two set of tires sent to me with no problems.  The set from DiamondBack were wrapped in plastic and lashed together in pairs.  The set of BF Goodrich's from Summit were lashed together in pairs with zipties and cardboard dividers.  :2thumbs:

Waiting for reply from my containershipper on how he wants them delivered. Is there something going on over there with prices? I'm looking at M/T Sportsman 295/50 15 and 2 sellers has gone from 148$ to 170$ in 2 days or is it lack of tires that raises the price? :scratchchin:

Got stuff a couple times now from the Tire Rack.  Like others have said, they come shipped with two together.  And mine were light truck tires for my Ford pick up.

Tires are made from Oil (vulcanized rubber?). So since oil futures are up you have to charge more for the ones already made.  :RantExplode:

Sure is. Inflation has hit, and hit hard, no matter what our government says about official inflation rates. :brickwall:

Price of oil has skyrocketed, tires=oil, everyone is raising prices in advance of official inflation. You walked into the inflation hurricane at your exact moment of purchase.
