Leaving your Charger alone

Started by terrible one, February 27, 2011, 02:03:19 PM

Previous topic - Next topic

How paranoid are you?

Never leave it alone, always in your sight or in the garage
Leave it alone at car shows and other events or in the parking lot for a quick trip into the store
Will park and leave it for a few hours
Have no problem parking and leaving it for a day or overnight
It stays parked outside all the time

Lets get back on track here.
I leave mine alone while running in a store. Already have some dings so I don't fret about another one.
Stuff happens and you gotta accept it unless you keep your car in the garage all the time.
I had to leave mine overnight in a parking lot once when I couldn't get it started. I must say that I didn't sleep good at all that night.

I have to weigh the possibilities of what may happen in order to decide if I am willing to leave my car somewhere. If I were to go to a local cruise, I'd leave it for a couple of hours & not really worry. If I were going to a store, I wouldn't bring it, but if I did I'd park far away. Too many "non-car people" at stores who let their door hit your car or use your car to keep their shopping cart from rolling away while they unload it. I don't think I'd be comfortable leaving it somewhere overnight, like at a hotel because they're too easy to steal. You don't even need a key to start it & drive off. Everything is insured though, so if I did have something happen, at least I'd be able to recover on it.

As for getting your panties all bunched up the crack of your ass because someone parked near you, that's just effin' retarded. Same goes for picking fights or keying a car over minor crap, it's retarded. The only time I felt justified messing with someone's car was when some drunken, toothless, dumbass in a beat to hell pick up purposely cut me off & flipped me the bird. He almost hit me head on pulling into the liquor store parking lot & forced me to lock up the brakes on a busy road. I turned around, went into the store to find him, but changed my mind when I saw the he-man hunting knife on his belt. I left, but drop kicked the mirror off the side of his POS on the way to my car.  :flame:

I wasn't living or driving in NY when that happened. Even if I were in NY, the relevance of what had happened, what I got, or the gun laws, makes absolutely no sense to anyone but yourself. The person who cut me off was simply an asshole, & assholes are assholes no matter where they are.

But I bet they're bigger in TX.

Not everyone is an asshole, they must first prove themselves worthy of that label. It only takes about 15 seconds in a conversation to determine that, less if you witness something they do, but a bit longer if you have to read through their posts on a forum.
