Is it a one off or something he has several of ?

Is it one you're interested in buying or not? if not I have to admit I am looking !!

I have to agree with the $1000 mark.

He wants $1750 , thats a bit too much for me but it is suppose to be very nice. The others he has are severly broken.

I think Travis sold one for $1,400 or more.   Serious.

I bought a whole '69 grill and entire rusty front clip for $240 last year. I wouldn't worry so much about the I piece's and trim anymore with the repo's now available. I would agree that $1,000 is a good figure. Does the $1,750 asking price include installation?   :D

I Met a guy at Chyrslers in Carlisle who deals with NOS & used Mopar parts.  He had a NOS Grille for $1,500.  His name is Ken Burbach.  (815) 594-2205.  If I had the money, I would have bought that in a heart beat.

I bought a nice original dash pad from him this spring at the Jefferson, WI show and he did not have it there. Of course, the crowd at Jefferson might be a little rough for a piece that nice.

We talked for a while as he has a '69 Charger R/T also and only lives about an hour from me.

you reckon he will take monopoloy money?

Ghoste

It seemed to me that the ones I saw at the swap meets this past summer were a little cheaper than the couple of years prior to.  I saw nice ones in the hundreds but I don't recall any for less than 600, not nice ones anyway.  Excellent ones seemed to all be around the 1000 dollar mark.  I'm sure the annual Barrett-Jackson madness will have current pricing double those amounts.
Every area seems to have a Mopar bandito don't they?  Ours has 833 trannys that he'll let go for 2500 (not Hemi boxes either).

THE CHARGER PUNK

I say wait till premiers get their buisness up and running and buy one of their 69 grilles. arent they goin to be sold for something like $600 jude?-MATT

Chris G.

$1,700 is a realistic price (unfortunately).

Even the dumbest bumpkin on the planet has heard about ebay and how much these cars are selling for nowadays. Maybe the old timer owner doesn't know about all this stuff, but you can be sure a relative, friend or whatever will be right there to tell them it's worth some money. The days of finding a clueless owner are scarce nowadays.

You're dreaming...

As for the price, before the repro parts came out grills were going for somewhere in the $1500 range and 'I' pieces were over $700. I'd say the price has dropped some but the bottom will fall out of the market once a decent repro is available in large quantities. At this moment though, a perfect grill is probably worth the $1700 he's asking as long as it's the entire assembly. I'm glad I don't have a 69 (and I have plenty of 68 spares).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Yes PPR just went into business full-time and is going to have it done soon.   I want my NOS '69 BACK!   I miss it.   I hope it comes-out SWEET.   I don't think I'll be distributing them, it's a HUGE pain.

Gunslinger's "I" piece is really close to PERFECT.  and he is making the side "C" mouldings soon as well as long pieces...  Pretty soon gents, we'll have so much aftermarket stuff available...  :)

69_500

I would say the $1,750 is right in the ball park of the going rate for a great conditioned full grille. One of these days I'll drag the spares out of the attic and see what kind of condition they remain in. Last time I was up there, I counted 14, but some are just good for parts, others are ready to bolt right on a car. Only thing is that only 1 of them has a good I piece. Which Geno wanted about 2 years ago but I woudln't sell it to him, because I was going to use it on the sunroof car. Now I have nothing to use any of the grille's on.

I'd love to have those on the Garage wall :)

Ghoste

And they'll soon be worthless.  You should have sold them to Geno for big coin while you had the chance.

Charger_69

Any ideas on when the repro grills might be avail for the 69s(is that the center only or) , i guess im lucky ive got the shell of a 68 :) better than a big opening!!

69charger2002

i sold my last 3 grills for $2025, $1750, and $660. of course the $660 grill was pretty busted.. the $2025 grill was mint, BUTit didn't even include frame or vacuum pods, this was plastic and stainless only! anywho, i have one good 69 grill left, if you want it, i'll sell it for $1250. if you need pics let me know. it is not perfect, but very close
