During that process, she looked for a fender tag, and in the trunk and found nothing.  The engine is not original so no way of matching up any numbers there.  Same with the tranny.

So, I've heard of stampings on the car's frame.  Where would that be located on a '69?  Are there any other palces I should look?  I'm just wondering if the V.I.N. / dash in my car might have come from one of his other chargers.
radiator core support, driver side trunk gutter under the weather strip, fender tag,v.i.n.,engine block passenger side oil pan rail and tranny other than that i dont know of any others stamped anywhere

I live in Michigan and went to the Sec of State today to get a VIN for my convertible.  Fill out a lot of forms and pay 10 dollars.  Was told it will take awhile then I will be contacted and will be instructed where to meet someone from the state and they will install a new VIN on my car.  I assume it will be a door sticker.  Had to have a police officer come over today to inspect the VIN and sign off on it. Of course he checked to make sure it wasn't stolen.   :2thumbs:
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

You need to go to the DMV in whatever state you live in, tell them your story and ask them what your options are. There are people who build homemade cars and kit cars all the time. Somehow those cars get titled and licensed. Depending on what you find out at the DMV you may wind up getting more or less for your cars.

Looks Like that is not a metal tag. :shruggy:

It's not, it is a decal transfer for the "Chrysler" lettering. You won't find a tag to restamp...that's a no no.
