you all can see the pictures, you can all tell it sure as hell isnt a perfect car
the trunk floor is rotted out
the motor burns oil
none of the guages work
etc. etc.

it seemed like a hell of a car til i saw it in person, but still..
for that price he got a good starting point.

I'm here if he decides it's too much of a project for him.  :icon_smile_big:

If it has an original 440 then it's an R/T.  Not an original B5 car then...

Just grab a pic of the fender tag and send it along to Chris.  :2thumbs:

I'm too lazy to go look at my VIN, but I'm pretty sure I have a Hemi Daytona.  So suck it.

Oh wait, I already registered mine like a normal Charger fan. :-\

and no, not the same uncle. smart ass.

Thank you for noticing that I am a smart ass.

It's taken me decades to hone my smart assed skills to this level.

...Name calling... :scratchchin:

Nice, mature move.

This would lead one to think that you are trying to deflect attention away from the fact that until proven

otherwise, this story is total bullshit...

...Just like the Hemi story.... :slap:

But, wait !

That was a DIFFERENT uncle... ::)

Would there really be someone on this planet that is trying to make other people believe a story about a car that isn't true? Whats the benefit in that?

I know about telling lies to your bank director about your wages to get a loan :D but there's a posible benefit in that story........
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

You guys check this out.... THIS IS A TRUE STORY !.  My brother in Tenn. sent me a text last monday that he was going to get an original 69 Daytona that was in a barn for 30+ years.  He only was going to pay $1,500 for it and it's rust free.  The bad thing was, the car WAS NOT COMPLETE. The owner said it was but when my brother got there and looked the car over he was pissed.  As soon as the guy pulled the tarp off the car, my brother saw it WAS NOT COMPLETE AT ALL.  It was missing the rear view mirror, horn button, dome lite cover, two spark plugs and no radio.  So, my brother said no way and left.   That is a true "STORY".

ok, but if the missing plugs were still connected to the engine, and the radio that is missing was still connected to the dash, horn button still connected to the steering column and dome light cover still connected to the roof. mabey your brother made a good choice :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

Have you ever tried to locate a dome light cover? Its a nightmare.

Vainglory, Esq.

Really?  I have a dome light cover, and it isn't being used because the roll bar goes where it would otherwise be.

Maybe I should sell it for thousands on eBay?

:scratchchin: I'll give you $900 for it, is it a '68 or '69?..

He has a 70, your out of luck.

To answer Lizzys question on actual value, the car would be worth around $8,000.  :Twocents:

Yeah, If I remember right the car was snowed in at "The Cottage" and he couldn't get to it until spring. :smilielol:

That was years ago... still nothing. ::)

I guess that makes it history's longest winter :shruggy:

We will probably never know I'm not gonna go as far as to call him a Liar but, as they say "If it's too good to be True...
