Death Proof

I installed a Grant steering wheel and new horn a while back. After a while the horn would start chirping and then get stuck on when the wheel was turned.
I checked under the steering wheel cap and no wires are touching metal when the wheel turns, so I assume it's in the steering column that something is grounding out or going haywire.

What's the best way to run new wires through the column or is there another suggestion? Do I need to pull the column do do this?
