1973 Dodge Charger 318 Distributor

Hello everyone, I apologise if I am posting this question in the wrong forum but I was wanting to know something before the sun sets here so I can finish my distributor swap. I am removing the original dist and replacing it with a rebuilt one. Problem is that the little bottom pointy piece of the distributor broke off and is stuck inside. Any idea on what could possibly take that out? A strong magnet or something else? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Never mind, it is jammed in there and the oil pan and oil pump has to be removed and a new oil pump has to be installed. What I want to know is, is this a big job? Does a cross member have to be removed?
