Piston Choices?

Hi guys/gals, I need pistons for my 9.5 to 1 (more like 9 to 1 with pistons .100 in the hole) 1971  440 HP.
286/286, .484 lift cam, 906 open chamber heads with 2.14/1.81 valves, reworked bowl area and cleaned up runners,
this under a 6 pack with the recommended changes for a moderately tweaked 440.

I would like to have about 10.0 to 1 using a piston with a stepped head to increase quench with these heads.

Suggestions? :scratchchin:

Thanks

Most probably you have the standard pistons with a compression height of 1.990 which would put them in the hole around 0.090" with a virgin deck.

KB make a range of step head pistons in hyperutectic with machineable quench pads with compression heights that will up your comp. But in order to use these pistons and take advantage of the quench design you will have to do some accurate measuring and milling. Check out their site to see what will work.
