Is there a list of VIN s for the Daytonas like there is for the Superbirds?
Wanted to check the validity of a VIN.

THanks

WINGIN IT

Great , thanks. I found the one I was looking for.
I wasn't sure if the list ever got put into a spreadsheet, so I through the data in Excel as suggested.
I sorted by VIN #, but you can filter as you wish .
There were 502 on the list.  The list isn't perfect but will do .

I tried attaching the list but you can't attach Excel files.
If someone has a way to post I'll gladly forward , for anyone to reference.

Ok , so need to send / post if you already have it .

Not sure I understand your breakdown by state. Difficult to read across with no breaks.
Regardless, thanks  for the update.

I didn't see where I could send my spreadsheet, if needed.

The daytona per state list was to see how many 426 and 440 daytonas .And the certain states and dealers that got them in what amounts.
Just for my collection .I gather actual aero car etc dealer ads from actual 69-70- newspapers,And compare to whats on the daytona shiplist. As to date nowbody else had a online daytona shiplist. There are Superbird vin lists expertly sorted by Brennan Cook .But no dealer location info .

The dumb things you do.
Could have bought this one in 1983 when I bought my bird.First one delivered in US,#.356538,Sold at Shope Motors in Huntingdon,PA.,35mi from me.Both cars, same owner.Price was the same for both (and you would be shocked if I told you the price) so I took the bird.Could have bought it again 7yrs later and passed. At that time it had a little over 6K miles. This car was on Ebay a few years ago ,went to somewhere around 240k and didn't meet reserve. Both cars were bought new by the original owner,he passed away 5mo ago at the age of 91.

1st Winged Car shipped in the USA. 1st USA Winged Car Period! R4 Bright Red, 9,246 miles, 440, automatic, RWD.  This is one of the rarest cars ever produced, the Winged Cars couldn't be given away back when they were built, now they are a hot commodity. This Daytona is the 1st Winged Car shipped in the USA and was never registered until June 6, 1972, they sat at the dealerships for a long time. The original owner owned the car until Jan. 19, 1990 when it changed hands twice (never registered) and I bought it, it had about 6,000 miles then. The mileage the original owner put on the car were really fun and hard miles. As of today, there are 9,246 actual miles. It left Creative Industries with 17 miles on the odometer, on Sept.19, 1969 the Multiple Carburetor 6 Pac was installed, 32 days after it was shipped from Creative Industries. Shope Motors did the installation and it was noted in the Warranty Book and covered by Chrysler. This Daytona is 1 of 3 documented 6 Pac Daytona's. The car has a great history it left the factory painted R4 Bright Red (1 of 75), and when the car was 6 weeks old, it was painted Plum Crazy with a Gold wing. In 1974 it was painted like Richard Petty's car, looking like that it has appeared in several calendars and automotive books, it was really ugly. It was last on the road in 1977, the Pennsylvania inspection sticker is still on the windshield, then it went into storage until 1990. The car was taken back to it's original state from April to July 1995. The motor was gone through, everything was in good condition. The transmission was also rebuilt, it needed it, the gentleman that owned the car really ran it hard. There is NO filler in the car, the car was stripped to the bare metal and then repainted with PPG base/clear. There has never been any damage or rust anywhere on the car. The interior is 100 original, the only flaw is 2 tiny 1/4 tears in each front seat, so small the camera will not even pick them up. Everything works except the fuel gauge, I've tried a new sending unit, and checked the gauge, it just will not work. The car is as original as you will find, (still has the original spare tire, never used), it's just like it was when it was new at the dealership. Chrysler has just returned it to me, they have had it since this past February when they had it on display at the Daytona 500. After that, they used it at the Richmond International Raceway for the Media Launch for the new Charger. The paperwork with the car is as follows: Odometer Disclosure Statement Original Title dated June 14, 1972 Original Window Sticker Warranty Book with 6 Pac notation Operator's Manual Broadcast Sheet Envelope from Creative Industries with spare parts This is a numbers matching car, Galen Govier knows the car, and many other High Power Mopar people know it too. This is probably one of the most correct Daytona's in existence, plus, it's the 1st Daytona shipped in the USA, the 1st USA Winged Car period!

Ive been through the Huntindgon PA paper looking for the Shope Motors daytona ad .I found daytonas and supebirds at a place car Shetroms Garage in Huntingdon Pa

Dave,Charlie Shetrom bought both my Superbird and the Daytona new.Shope Motors had two locations, one in Tyrone,PA and the other in Huntingdon, about 30 mi apart. Both were closed 20 + years ago.Charlie had every letter car each year from 55 through 65 including one of I think five 60 300F convertibles with the French Pontamosson 4spd.I bought his 61 300G convertible, kept it about a year then sold it,back then it was just another car.He also had the 68 Hemi Dart that he sold to Mancini.I've known him for 40+years and was fortunate enough to spend a day with him about 3wks before he passed away.

Love the retro look, would love to own one that painted that way back in the day.
Who knows, maybe I'll get one in white one day, and but some old school graphics on it...
