Just installed a B&M shifter and the cable is in direct route of the kickdown linkage.  You can see the two positions in the pics.  One is right underneath the trans cable.  Any of you guys have a solution to this?  I would be much appreciated.

if i remember correctly i flipped the kickdown lever and the cable attachment.
Remember the average response time to a 911 call is over 4 minutes.

The average response time of a 357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

Looked into that as well but unfortunately the way the notches are cut out in the kickdown and tranny levers, there is only one way they can stack up.

isn't the shift lever position adjustable?

i've been searching pictures and everything i can find shows that upper lever flipped over.....I can look at my own trans when I get to the house tonight, maybe john or RD can chime in with what should be correct.

The shift lever has a circular cutout that has a bite out of it so it can shift without slipping.  So I don't see any way to adjust that.  As for the kickdown, the bottom part that slides on is a larger circle and the top is a half circle so orientation cannot be changed.  I hope this makes sense.  Pictures would explain this better than my decription.

I would try attaching the shift cable on the underside of the shift lever as opposed to on top....this would give you adequate clearance for the KD linkage, i would think.  :yesnod:

Good suggestion.  I'll give that a try but it will still be CLOSE.  Has anyone who intalled one of these tried this?

Here's a couple of pics that better show what I was trying to explain.

Thanks Kim! I'm going to try and just bend this one up for some clearance. If I break something and cant find a new one I'll be sending you a pm. Appreciate the help.
