My eyes went like this  :o when read:

http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-5464-new-chrome-mopar-dodge-plymouth-chrysler-alternator-65-83-7509.aspx

600 RPMS GIVING 45 AMPS? 1200 RPMS giving full output ? that would mean maybe 55-60 at 850 RPMs ?

:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

my dreamed spec  :2thumbs:

but... proceed to contact them about that posibility of 55 amps at 800 ( and maybe sell just internals ), got an answer

Actually the 45 amps would be at idle. So if your idle is at 800 to 850 then the most you would get out of this unit is 45 amps at 800 to 850 rpms. We do not have parts for this unit.We buy them as whole units from our distributor so all we have available are whole units.Sorry,

Thanks,

Just save up and get the 120amp Denso like I did Nacho, the best move I made so far.  :2thumbs: Check the spec's, it's working great!  :2thumbs:

bull

I don't understand why everyone feels the need to chrome all these high output alternators. :shruggy:

Nacho-RT74

I'm agreed, I don't like chromed, polished at most but getting the alt I just change housings. All that I want is internals. BUT DAMN! 45 amps at iddle is not better that the $50 unit I got.

GOD THEY ADVERTISE 45 AMPS AT 600 RPMS! God, then is not true! On a RPMs increase curve between 600 and 1200 RPMs 45 to 95 amps, 800 RPMs wouls how around 60 amps!!! maybe even more.

b5blue, I'm stockish look guy ;) thats why I don't get Densos ( they are available locally anyway )

this is not a tech post, just a SELLER RANT POST  :RantExplode:

Delco 1 wire and be done with it already...Geesh...Nobody's gonna sell you the internals for fear of YOU beginning to sell Dare I say "High output" alternators like the ones they buy from the distributor...

Not a problem not selling internals, I can understand and can live with it. Thats was some extra question I made, just in case it was posible... but FALSE SPECS!
