:brickwall: I am so mad right now. I was in the process of restoring my instrument cluster and i was working on my speedometer. I went to take the needle off so that i can install a new decal in the process i was able to remove the needle but now i think i broke the return spring or the bushing that goes behind it cause the speedometer now spins freely. I was telling myself to just leave the needle on and make a slit and stick it on but i was following performace decal instructions and now i have this on my hands. Is there a way to fix it am i missing something or am i looking at getting a new speedometer

Or any recommendation of who could fix it if in fact I did break it :icon_smile_question:

I'm just about to install new decals myself, I have two speedometers - one has broken plastic bushing and working return spring, other has working bushing and broken return spring. Can I make one working speedometer out of two or I have to buy a new one? I was thinking of gluing the return spring holder clamp thingy to the case, after I have marked the correct calibration spot of course? Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm about to faceplant into the keyboard, but I remember a thread I was skimming just last fall when I restored a cluster and one of the member's here had the same thing happen...I bet if you search it you can find it...I want to say it would be 2010 unless I was deep in the archives.  I want to say he had come up with something perhaps with the help of liwendl (spelling?), but can't say for certain.

Thanks TexasStroker and no40jm! Wish I can blame myself of broking the speedometers but I got them like this. :shruggy:
