RESOLVED It's like a bad soap opera but I don't know where else to go with this.

Fun... about 12 years ago some chick I "met" dragged me into a State initiated paternity suit 'cuz she did not want to name the real dad on the welfare paperwork.  That was a F-in adventure.

During that fine bureaucratic mess I hook up with this hot redhead, turns out she was cousin to "lying chick"...

bull: Your signature is a line from a song called "Love Shack", and that song is not about keeping it anywhere.

So are you trying to say that since I quoted a couple of lines from an 80s song referencing a car my statement is invalid and I'm a hypocrite? If so you'll have to do better than that.

Great! Glad to hear it! Now reconsider Bull's advice, and remember, a child out of wedlock is one of the "top ten" ways to make sure you never get ahead in life.

Glad it turned out well. She sounds like a real nut case. Maybe consider changing your phone number...Happy hunting!

WooWee, just when you think YOUR life is fu**ed up, you here about this type of Jerry Springer episode happening...Glad it worked out, but a little advice.......

Leave the chicks alone in the 19-30 Y/O range...19 through 27 is too young, and oncew they hit 30, they tend to try and revamp the "Life they never had" due to kids....Get you an older chick that doesn't give you no sh*t, just good lovin'....

If she's good-looking and was willing to jump in the sack with someone that quick, you obviously were not her only roll in the hay during the time-frame you're talking about. Chances are she was rolling with 2-3 other guys at the same time so she's probably just throwing paternity blame up in the air to see where it will stick. You have to get a DNA test or a blood test at minimum.

Moral of the story: keep it in your pants until you're willing to go the distance with a woman.

Damn.. Someone should have taught me this valuable lesson too... I met a chick when I was 19. 5 days later we tried to get married, but had to go through the legal red tape... It took a total of 7 days from the day we met to get married... We celebrate 20 years in under 8 weeks...  What a slut!

As for this roller coaster, glad it worked out.. What a psycho bitch.  Time to meet someone crazier than her and introduce her to your EX.  :2thumbs:

So 30 is that "magical number" huh?
You sure got out of that one easily man, could've been much worse. Not many girls like single dads.

30 would have been a good age for me as at 24 I wasn't making very good money, but having a kid & money don't always work together. The daughter happened when I was 34 & have a nice job, house & area but yet again all those things don't make a green light for having kids.
Everyone is different & some will agree with me & others won't thats just how it is.

I had my first at 27 and regretted not having her earlier. I love kids. Being a single dad is more of a turn on than you think. Think about it, what does it say about the guy who would raise a child on his own? Sensitive, caring, devoted, committed all that mushy stuff. The more mature women look for those qualities in men. I can't remember how many times I got a sly little smile and second look from a woman walking past me with when I took my daughter out for some bonding time!

x2 It's hard to find a woman who will settle with someone who already has some "baggage" Same goes for the guys, how many of us are step-dad's, just a handful. We live in society where kid's own father/mother doesn't want to take care of them, why would a random stranger accept responsibility of raising someone else's child. Not many of those people left around... Usually works out if he both guy and a woman have some "baggage", they end up "combining" it.

There is a difference between a polite smile and the smile of a someone flirting.

Since I am happily married, I didn't even think twice about finding out what that smile meant  ;)

It is not common that a man is the "single parent", it is usually the man that runs out on the woman leaving them with kids. Men see other kids of a potential partner as baggage, so this shows a different level of commitment. I don't believe that most women would see that as baggage  :shruggy:

Me too  ;D  as for baggage, i guess that depends you may have a Man who's never Married or has any Kid's so to find a Nice Woman with Kid's may not be such a bad thing Money does come into it even if it's not said out loud.
If The Kids are Young, it can be seen as baggage for sure if their Older or even moved out not so bad  ;)
I agree with you though Sadly it's often the Man that just leaves the Woman with the Kids not good...

24?  Give yourself some time man.  I didn't even know who I was until 25.  Couldn't afford to get married until 32 and even then she was making more than me!  And me with a BS in chemistry and a steady job for about ten years at the time!

Some are lucky to meet the right one at the right time and it lasts forever.  Sometimes you are two ships that pass in the night going in different directions.  The one I miss the most was perhaps a better friend than I appreciated at the time.  If you ask all the guys on here who are happily married after 20 plus years they'll probably tell you their best friend is their wife.
