No, Im not a doomsdayer or some creepo. Just thought I would include this in our "off topic" discussions. Found out some interesting things yesterday.. Did you know the magnetic poles have moved about 5 miles per year? Now they are moving at 40 miles per year. Also, the Chandler wobble has stopped, thats the small wobble in the rotation we all learned about in grade school. Theres some other things happening too, like these new stereo satellites around the sun, they're finding huge objects very close to the sun. Also, remember those birds in Arkansas that died? Well theres weather radar anomalies around those areas that night, weird spheres surrounded by radar activity with larger rings emanating outward all the way into Texas and the Dakotas.

Polar reversals are well documented in geologic history and have happened thousands of times during earth history...just not during our time on earth.  A reversal is overdue and apparently starting to happen.  Only thing we don't know how long it will take....a million years is a blink of an eye in geologic time.  What will happen to birds and fish that rely on their magnetic compass?

I'm not going to live my life worrying about it. If we all die, we all die. And there will be nothing any one can do about it. My dad was a preacher, and even though I am not religious, one thing I learned from him, is that there are a lot of things according to the bible that still would have to happen if all this doomsday stuff is true. I know one is the rebuilding of one building in Israel as of which as of now, they know where all the building blocks are, but no one has yet even decided to rebuild it. And two is the return of the Antichrist. Some people say he is here already, but still has not surfaced. And the reason those two things are important, is because once the one building in Israel is rebuilt, the Antichrist is supposed to move into it, before he starts his Raine. I might be forgetting some other stuff about that too. But that is what I remember. If you believe the bible.

I watched a program on Science Channel a couple evenings ago about the moon and what the earth would be like without it.  How it was formed and the theory about Orphius, the planet that colided with earth zillions of yeas ago.
One of the things it talked about was that the moon was responsible for the earth's tilt on it's axis.  The other was that the moon is moving away from us slowly, about 1.5 inches per year.

The fact remains Polar Shifts and Comet Impacts have occured before and will happen again.  The tell-tale signs like the weather change, migration patterns and geomagnetic information (gps) foul ups are becoming more evident.  They are simply signs of the times so to speak.  For believers, we are reminded of these scriptures:

if the bible is just a book, what would be wrong with quoting it just as a mopar mag or mark twains book can be talked about. they are definately just books that can draw out lenghthy conversations. and if i choose not to believe that a motor can really get that much horsepower from a small block, or that becky thatcher was real, i can just not read the book or join in on the conversation. i have learned through the years not to get deep into talking on politics, religion, or have lenghthy conversations with women about anything once they give their opinion on how they feel. those subjects can ruin friendships. but if someone believes in something, they have the right to say it just as i have the right to disagree. just as long as they are following the rules of the site. we then can choose to read or not.
