I mounted my autometer oil and fuel gauges like this. I would like to redo my whole cluster something like lisiecki1 did.

The tach and speedo are 3-3/4, water and oil are 2-1/16.  I removed the factory gauges and removed the clear plastic covers for said gauges and replaced them with aluminum sheet riveted into place.  Then I reassembled the cluster to determine the location of the center of the gauges.  Another disassembly and drilled the holes with hole saws.  Got the big one from Grainger. after getting through the aluminum sheet i carefully hole sawed quite a bit of the aluminum out of the back of the gauge assembly and dremeled the rest.  Quick shot of paint to black out the aluminum and installed the gauges.  All the gauges mount with the typical autometer mounting (U-bar and thumb nuts).  For the shift light I just opened up the high beam indicator location with a dremel and got the light where I wanted it and then cut and bent it's bracket to butt up against the ralley cluster frame and drilled/tapped/and screwed it on there.  Everything is mounted solid and works great!  For the high-beam indicator, you can't really tell but there's a hyper-bright l.e.d. that points down from the top in front of the speedo.  For the turn signal and brake indicators I took the plastic cover off of the seatbelt warning light and replaced it with a piece of aluminum plate that I drilled 3 holes in and installed l.e.d.'s.

I need to finish it up with blue l.e.d. lights in the gauges.

It's hard to tell in the picture but for the stereo mounting i took a miscellaneous stereo mounting kit and cut it up to match the contour of that part of the dash and epoxyed it together before painting the whole dash.  

I hated butchering the back of the ralley cluster but I wanted to be sure that i could use the factory mounting for the headlight and wiper switches and the a/c controls.

IT IS the petrol charger, they used a 71 Dash...supposedly red line gauges, i wonder if i can get in touch with the owner to see what was done behind the scenes and what gauges were used.



Apparently red line gauge works does all work in house, im sending them an email to see the cost of replicating such..i can only imagine.

If I'd go with a custom job I would make THAT!!!

I like also the job on A/C controls and Radio.

I saw a similar A/C controls job on Carlisle 2008. I'm sure I have the pic somewhere

with the small faceplace, that radio looks a lot like a secret audio set up--you just mount a screen on your dash so you don't have to cut up the bezel, and you hide the actual hardware/cd player etc. somewhere else like under a seat
