It's a tutorial electrical site for mostly audio installations but covers component theory very well. I found it doing a search on diodes and relays, there are interactive schematics and a neat one that lets you plug in the values of the components of your stereo system, then giving you advice for optimal results. Wanna build your own Amp? Ever wonder what/why some speakers are 8 ohms and others 10 or 4 ohms? What the heck impedance is....no it does not mean you can't dance. Check it out!  www.bcae1.com    :2thumbs:

That's actually pretty cool.  I'm not going to build my own amp any time soon, but maybe this will help with electrical issues in the Charger...

Thanks for the link.

Ummm....errr.....I think your missing the point. So you already know what a SP DT relay is as opposed to a DP DT or DT SP? Why a diode across the field windings of a relay or something like an A/C compressor's electromagnetic clutch is good thing? I'm trained in electronics by the USAF and just trying to help others understand the basics as I noticed lots of questions and struggles with it.

Listen, if ya can't say Zener Diode, the pox on ya! How about a "push-pull" circuit? +5/-5vdc is my life. The next best thing to ones and zeros is a Charger.  :2thumbs:
