I had heard that someone was reproducing the 1970 Hemi air cleaner assembly, but I can't seem to find it.  It's made of fiberglass not steel, but I'm not really concerned about that.  I just want something that looks like it's supposed to be there, and since nothing is numbers matching anyway, I don't care that it won't be perfectly original.  Anyone know who makes these?

Also, given that it's going into a Charger, I'm not interested in all the Shaker stuff to go with it...

Which intake, factory or Stage V?

Stock.  (It's a little dusty.)

Didn't the 70 use the oval air cleaner instead of the chrome dome like 68-69? I really am not familiar with them but that's what I sort of remember.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Yes, Steve is making me a air cleaner base and lid  designed to fit on a stock hemi intake, modern AFB carb throats, and seal to the bottom of an AAR hood

I'll post pics when it arrives

My house project is more custom than it is stock. so my customer has no desire for a big $ steel air cleaner

I didn't realize this would be such a b!tch to find.  I can't imagine what it would cost to get a good used one.

Actually, speaking of, anyone have an idea?

This one is steel but it is only the lid.  Kim

Does anyone make the proper one WITH the deflector for the Dodge's that are equipped with the 426 Hemi without fresh-air? The Challenger R/T's of '70 and '71 weren't equipped with the N96 fresh-air option as standard issue like their 'Cuda brethren. I'm sure there were those examples of hemi-equipped cars without N96 that had the N96 base that slipped threw the factory QC doors or inspectors just looked the other way.........
