I will post more updated pictures soon.I have the car almost finished again.I don't like the way it is coming out this time.It was a much nicer car first go around to me.But for now I want to get it done.It is all paint related issues with color matching as I just repainted the rear of the car.I made too many mistakes.I am happy to report I was able to fix the wing! With a little help we split the wing and replaced the metal bar inside and re-glassed it.Then gel-coated it.I think it would have been cheaper to replace it with all the time involved. But it came out pretty good.I have it up on my lift now and I am looking for the transmission issue that caused this all in the first place. Then back to the exhaust shop again. My exhaust man asked me to unload it next door this time.  :smilielol:

just promise you'll get a cover note from your insurer BEFORE you take it to the exhaust shop. that will cover it until you get the full insurance sorted out.

Is it Base/Clear paint or single stage? Did you blend the colour into the non damaged panels or just mask off and panel paint what was damaged and repaired? I am surprised you are having such problems colour matching since it is not long after your first paint job. Did you get it mixed from the same supplier?

dreamcatcher

Base/clear I painted from the doors back(the whole rear clip).I got the paint from the same PPG supplier. But this paint color seems to be real touchy for some reason.I noticed the doors looked darker that the rest of the car when I painted it the first time around and yet was all painted the same day with the same paint.I think I will leave it alone for now.I first painted the car with windows out and doors off.I don't want to repaint because I hate tape lines on a car.So I guess in a year or so I will tear it all back down and paint the whole car again. But NO MORE PPG!!! I have not had very good luck with it the last few cars I have done.It always worked good before but something is different now.Thinking of switching to DuPont or something else and see how the other half lives  :hah:

Also wanted to know if anyone has ever had trouble getting their shifter adjusted?I found out mine was going into park enough to start but not locking into park.I bumped the linkage and it would go into reverse. If I adjust it so it locks into park like it should then it wont go into low gear with the shifter. No matter how I try it I either have one or the other. For now you can bet it is locking into park!  :flame:

that's usually slop in the linkage.

montana bird

I would wan't the low gear. When you got hp you want to use it. Trannys hold up better manual shift,  then put in drive. When getting hard on them.  We all like burning rubber. Built enough 727's  to show you sprag units.  :vert:

dreamcatcher

I had adjusted it all day it is tight enough it doesnt seem to have any slop.It just seems the shifter will not reach both ends of the shift pattern.Your short on one end or the other.I am not sure if I have all the right parts for this applacation. It was not in the car when I got it and I collected all the parts I needed along the way.  :brickwall:
