So I have never been to this show and money will be tight since I am also in the middle of my build. Can anyone tell me if there is some good campgrounds outside vegas and if so do they fill up fast and can you reserve a space ahead of time. I have been to vegas before but but never looked around for camping situations, I just want to hang at the car show and then get out of town. Anyone else do the camping thing.

My wife and I are planning to camp out in Vegas as well. I've done some web searches and wasn't really impressed. We were there last year, but flew in and did the hotel routine. There is a campground between the city outskirts and the race track that looks promising, but I too am open to options.

You need a fully self contained RV to stay at the track.  I think it was $75 per night last year.

Well.....my camper is a 1950's model teardrop style with no bathroom. I guess the ol tent bathroom setup wont qualify for self contained. I guess I will be looking outside the track for options. :brickwall:

Plus at $75/ night you could probably get a decent room somewhere off the strip.

Restoring a charger is like a saying I heard along time ago "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it".... Jesus I wish I could remember who said that...

Check out the hotels on the strip websites. They have hot deals.

the cannery is the host hotel and the new Aliante hotel is a locals hotel that might have good rates also and you won't be tempted to spend money on the strip so bad

I'm about 60% certain that I'll be going. Will know for sure by Mid March.  :scratchchin:
