I recall two plymouth versions being in Wichita,KS back in the late 80's/early 90's....one red ,the other white....one ran the other had the engine pulled out but was all there......and the white one I believe is the one that had the engine pulled...the owner was a widow who wanted to keep the car for sentimental reasons(her husband bought the car new I believe)

Any of you other Kansans recall these two cars?

During hi skool in the 80's   I saw the red one in Hutch here driving around,. I about fell out of my car when I seen it. Never have seen it again.

I was at Mecum a few years ago and the red Hemi 4-door went through.  I have pictures somewhere.  Cool car, just not my style.

Rare doesn't equal valuable.  Ask any fastback Charger owner.

There is one of those near me, in pieces.  It's a four speed car.  I haven't seen it so I don't know the color.

I have talked to the guy that owns now it and, once, ran into the previous owner who remembers selling it to the present owner quite awhile ago.

Back around the mid 90's. There was a green one for sale at Carlisle. It was on a trailer in the flea market area. As I recall. I think Rick Simpson out of Canada was selling it. The price I believe was $20K. I did take some pictures, but I would have to dig around to find them....

I think the one Rick had is the gold one pictured ealier here, but I would NOT swear to that as that wasa long time ago when I saw it but I was thinking it was gold or tan

It is ugly, but it's definitely something with some historical significance behind it. Also, it's a good thing I didn't own it or I'd have put the Hemi in some other POS I had & junked the 4 door.

Now THAT'S the ulimate sleeper car! :yesnod:

Yea but... it's ugly.

And not much has changed today has it?  The most exciting drivetrain in a boxy four door just doesn't cut it, then or now.
The guy with the two Coronets for sale at a mil and a half hasn't sold them yet.  Someone will likely buy them sooner or later but clearly there is a very limited market for those cars.

"The most exciting drivetrain in a boxy four door just doesn't cut it, then or now."

I laughed when I read that, because my first thought, after almost throwing up, when I saw what they were calling a charger in 2006, was that it should have been called a Coronet.

I believe we've discovered the REAL inspiration for the new Chargers. :eek2:
