Given the bad weather, rain, snow, and my work schedule, I've gotten to start up my Road Runner about four times since Halloween. :'(  And the weather is much worse for most of you all across the country. I've thought about rigging up exhaust tubes to vent out of the garage just to get run it.

So, if you don't store your Mopar for the winter, how often do you start it and run it?

i usually start mine every 4 to 6 weeks but the longer she sits more  :RantExplode: i get trying to start her  . is it worth even doing it in these winter's i'm not sure, i have a heater in the garage which helps out and keeps her above freezing point at times

have not started my charger since oct. wont start it until march or april. just sitting and waiting for spring to come. but most time i drive it year round. if the weater is nice. just been busy with my band and work. but car shows and mopars on the strip are comming up.  so ready for spring to get here. ;D

My Charger lives in my workshop so I have to take her out every day more or less so I can get my customer's cars inside.

I try to start it once a month, but this winter has been so cold, I haven't started it as often as I've hoped to. Actually i did start it last friday, it just made me want spring even more. But it sure made me feel good, just hearing it run. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Not as often as I would like. The Cuda/ Challenger have not been started since september, the Charger/ Polara in august.
They are usually pretty eager to get out in the spring and they rarely fail to start other than a dead battery or when I "borrow" something from them. LOL

Cars and airplanes don't like to sit for very long. I crank/drive the Q5 at least once a week.
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

I used to always start it either every other week, if not then at least once a month.  This year since I have the nice cozy climate controlled garage, I have yet to fire it up.  Although, I really haven't had much free time either.   :brickwall:

I try to drive it once a week but sometimes it ends up being bi-monthly.  Much more often during summer.  There is actually a break from the rain today so I drove it into work.

 We thankfully have such a short winter here, the last warm days are usually in late Oct. or early Nov. and we dry out as early as Feb. March. i think my last daily blast in the Charger was around thanksgiving and I will blow the dust off and carbon out today.. so there's like roughly three Mos. of down time, Otherwise It's out once a month to every week the rest of the Yr.

Drive mine all the time in warmer weather.  Come late Nov it sits more, fire it up mid February.  Then when late March comes and we hit some warm days I start taking it out at least weekly.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

My plowtruck is the only classic I have started in quite a while. The Charger hasn't been started since December and I probably won't even try to fire her up until the temps get back above freezing.(probably about July the way things are going  :brickwall:)

The Charger hasn't run since 1999 with the original 318 engine. The 383 hasn't run since 2001 (in the '68 Newport we pulled it out of- my dad used the Newport as a daily driver for 1/2 a year). The Duster I tend to fire up atleast a few times a month during winter. It was really nice on Monday so I drove it to work.

I only start my cars when I go to drive them or have to move them.  The Charger has been sitting idle since Dec. 24th (last time I drove it), my 70 SS Chevelle has been sitting since mid November, and my 69 Malibu has been sitting since December 11th.  There really is no point starting them just to let them run at idle.  Doing that causes contaminants to accumulate in the oil and cause it to break down faster.  It also doesn't allow the engine to get up to full operating temperature to burn said contaminants off.
The Charger and the 70 will sit until at least March if not April.  The 69 Malibu I'll maybe take out for a ride if we ever get rid of all this snow/ice/salt on the roads with a good rain.

hey

i have 5 cars in the yard with covers on and on board batt tenders . there all plugged in rite now . i haven't started them since the middle of Dec . rite before the first storm.
in good weather i start them at least once a week . my driveway is long and narrow . so if i want to take out the first car i have to move the cars out behind it to the street . a HUGE pain in the ass but at least that way they get moved around a lot .

with all this snow i got big block withdraws . i can't wait to hear my motors running . i sit at my computer. watching vids of 440 motors idling and thinking of warmer days . :cheers:

whenever I need to go anywhere. I use mine as my daily driver, it's my only car and it's nice to live in the south!

daily driving all my cars so far, i've found out fast what it needed or how crappy a previous restoration/work on it was, etc. which is great for me, not only to keep it straight and driving but also preventing future issues. My Charger is very reliable now, just needs some cosmetic work here and there.

if i had the money to get a modern vehicle, i'd gladly drive a new challenger and have it split time with the Charger.

I fog the engine in the fall and don't plan on starting them until spring.  Haven't had any issues over the last 20 years . . .
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

Nice picture there Jim. Can't be your house though as I don't see enough snow in the picture to be your place. I figured you'd have an escape hatch in the roof of your house for those long Candian winters.

I haven't started the Charger since I parked it here at the new house in September.
