I think I have decided to run this in my stock 69 440. The question I have has to do with which weight I should run and do I add zddp to it. I do not drive the car from november till march so I dont have to worry about winter driving. I was thinking about running the 15w40 with a zddp additive. Can I change the oil once a year? I only drive maybe 1,000 miles a year. Any tips will be appreciated!

No need to add any additive with BP oil....it's loaded with Zn/Phos  :2thumbs:

Personally, i like to use a 20/50 weight and once a year is fine for the amount of milage you rack up. The Napa Gold (Wix) oil filter is a good choice.  :2thumbs:

Not that it adds any weight to Ron's recommendation (;)) but I use the 20-50 and Wix filter also.  :2thumbs:

Is Brad Penn available locally to you guys or do you order it? I can't remember seeing it at the auto store

You need to contact Brad Penn regarding who carries it in your area. It is not available typically in your local automotive chain store.

I figured that was the case. I'm sure I'll find that no one here stocks it, but maybe someone can order it.

I've run both 10/30 & 20/20 BP in my Hemi & both worked great. Had a little less oil pressure w/ the 10/30, but no problems.  When I switched to Valvoline VR1 w/ no additive & the repop fuel pump push rod wore out & took out the lobe on my solid bullet cam.  Should've replaced it w/ an OE hardened pushrod, but too late.  BP is awesome, as is Joe Gibbs Hotrod oil.

Its available at a speed shop close to me according to Brad Penn's web site.

FYI, Brad Penn 20w50 and 10w30 is on clearance at hughes for $4.99/QT... don't know what prices you get through distributors but might be a deal if shipping isn't too bad
