Miami-Dade county has done just that. All tolls in M-D county are electronic. Your licence plate is photographed and a bill sent to the registration address, or you can use SunPass (electronic window dingy) for a 20% discount. I'm all for it, I hate toll booths. Chicago is the tollbooth champion though, I don't think there's room between them to use 4th gear.

I lived in Chicago and it was the worst driving i ever had.  It would take 3 hours on a Friday to get to the wis state line going to Milwaukee.
