I saw a thread on old school bmx stuff on moparts and was curious if anybody here was into them. Myself I have a 1987 Dyno D-tour that I am riding and fixing up.

Niiice.  I always liked the GT Performers back in the day.  '87 was a good year with the bright blue & pink paint shades.

Yep.  I raced in the mid-west area back in the mid to late 80's.  Had a bout half a dozen Hutch bikes back then.

Trying to get my hands on a Hutch cruiser now.  I just can not bring myself to spend the kind of money people are wanting for them.  Would not mind a GT or Predator cruiser either.

A freiend of mine had a PK and that was the most badass bike I think I have ever road.  Another friend was always gone in the summer racing all over the place.

GT's a Dyno Pro compe (90) Hutch Trick Star, a Torker which i rode for 2 days then threw away, a Standard Shorty and a Morales were the last bike's I owned I'm sure there were others I can't remember...

The Skyway is one of the nicest you will ever see! (its for sale) Yo! I've had over 300 20" 80's BMXers. Everything you can imagine.. I raced semi-pro dowhill and 4x mtn bikes for many many years. Then I started digging lines for the 26" steel hard-tail. But now I send it on a '08 CRF 450r, and have some "interesting" passes on my 450x.... check it:

Ever see those 40+ year old guys wearing a wife-beater tank top while riding BMX bike down the wrong side of the road with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth? Don't do that.

I had a GT blue Pro Performer with nearly all GT products hanging off it, cept the Skyway mags. I forget the company name but it had blue tires a similiar shade to the frame also. Some girl gave me flack about my small sprocket :icon_smile_big: so I got some monster sized on for it. Sucked on longer trips but you got moving right now, just like bigger gears in a car.

I guess I'll bring this one back to the front page to see if there's still any interest in the old BMX.

I just pretty much finished restoring a mid 90's Mongoose Solution Pro race bike, not a bike of much value but was fun to build and came out with great results. Spent more on it then the bike is really worth but oh well - It's still a nice bike and rides like new.

Ideally I'd like a Skyway T/A but that's some serious money...

Every now and then I break out my old BMX bike and ride... Quite a lot of fun, still. Last bike I bought, was a Haro Group 1 RS1 set and was the fastest bike, or maybe I was the fastest rider  :scratchchin: Those were the days  :2thumbs:

Yep, we got'em here.  It's caused by too many dui's.  In those cases we refer to their bikes as loser cruisers.

That was my life as a kid until I got into mini bikes and small motorcycles.

Wrenching every day......

Started out with a Schwinn 36/36, mag wheels, alloy handlebars, neck, seat stud... you name it!
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

Hi. Well i still have some of my bmx bikes when i was a kid. When i was in my teens i got into dirt bikes and raced motocross up to my 30's. I have restored some of my bmx bikes and still ride the bigger cruisers. I go to a couple of bmx shows each year. And meet lots of great people every year.
Here are a couple of pics.

Back in late 70's early 80's I started off with a Panda (Charger, what else), a Powerlite (prob my fave), a PK Ripper (weird frame), a DG monoshock briefly, and later. a Patterson....my buddies rode GT's, Hutches, Redlines, Mongoose, Cook Bros. We used to get pretty (ahem) gnarley, radical and all that in my day, I remember one jump over my friends moms MG...:icon_smile_wink:
