Hey ya'll. I'm gettiing ready to install my new fuel tank in the Daytona. I was curious, is there any harm in applying a lub/grease on the inner diameter of the filler neck seal to facilitate easier insertion of the filler neck tube into the seal?

I used silicone spray on the rubber seal when I installed the filler tube.

Liquid dish soap works great.

the best thing Ive ever found for making rubber parts slippery is solvent based wax and grease remover. It evaporates fairly quickly though so you need to act pretty fast at that piont and be ready to reapply if neccesary.
