The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

There is a 5th generation salvage guy in Camp Douglass, WI. that has two '86 RT's and a '69 500 sitting in the woods. (he doesn't crush) He is aware of the numbers matching ploy that people use so he torches the fender tag, along with radiator cowl and trunk rail stamps.

He started doing that years ago when someone sold a relative a "re-bodied" hemi cuda that was originally a 340 car for a disgusting amount of money. I believe all the tags build sheet and stamps were sold with the engine and transmission to who ever sold the car to him.

I don't recall how they discovered it was a fake.

Amazing how times have changed....$800 for that. Back in 1998 we paid $400 for my Charger in this shape (it came with the full original interior and the missing passenger door) :rotz:

Maybe the new owner will find this site and ask questions on how to restore his or her ride. :icon_smile_big:

Not even a title so when it is rebodied they will need to get one to go along with the fender tag. The switch could happen quick so if your in the market for a RT right the VIN down.
