Wow Dave Mustaine playing a show with Metallica  :o.  That will be a good one.  Take lots of pictures, and make sure to post them. :2thumbs:

LOL, yeah, all that group therapy must have worked for Dave and Metallica. As for pics...hey, it's Metallica we're talking about. Lars will probably be standing at the gate confiscating cameras.

Old fart?

Age has nothing to do with it for me, I just never liked those bands. One of my friends loved that stuff & would drag us all out to the clubs that had cover bands doing that material. The only thing I enjoyed was the high heels, spandex, & leather outfits the chics in the audience wore.  :D

I like Metallica, but don't care for the rest. With that lineup though, it sounds like it'll be a fun time. :coolgleamA:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Gotta go with Old Moparz on this one. I was definitely around when Mettalica and the other cookie-cutter bands were here and I just did not like them. Lots of other rock and roll bands I would listen to first. Call back when they actually learn to play something rather than just strum the hell out of their guitars on 3 chords! :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big: ;) ;)

Right. You are paying good money to see old farts play music. I imagine you were still pooping in your diapers when those four bands were formed. Or were you even born before 1981?

Brock Samson

i have and used to listen to anthrax and megadeath - i still have in fact all their albums but i pretty much out grew them around 1990,.. I'm with Bob on the babes in spandex though! I met some mettalica fans a few years ago, some of the biggest a-holes i've ever had the misfortune to ever run across..   :P

I listened in the old days (1981) and beyond and I was being a little facitious about the "3 chords and hi-ho-silver" thing but I knew it would strike a nerve with the Mettallica fans.  Never was into metal music and it just sounds the same now!

Hell, in 1981 I was already in my mid-thirties and that kind of music was too young for me even then  anyway! ;D  Anyway, I do listen to a lot of different styles of music but, metal-rock just was not one of them.

Charger-Bodie

I like pretty much every type of music. Heck, I dont even mind rap if the right guy is doing it. Sir Mix Alot is the best rapper ever IMHO.

Well .............. Rap Music has evolved and there are quite a few styles of Rap most of which I will give a listen to but "Gangsta Rap"still is too hard to listen to now. My problem with most Rap Artists now is the "sampling" of real music they do without giving credit to the "real artist" that created the music in the first place.

1980  :D

So you were 7 or 8 when I saw Metallica at the Monsters of Rock show in Spokane. :nana: I like Metallica but I don't have much use for the other three. Concerts in general are kind of pain in a$$ to me anymore.

So stupid question how do you have the DVD when they have not played yet?

I don't follow any of them now but used to in late 80's till early 90's & must say this is one more reason to hate the midwest.

If they tour and come my way I will give Dave some money for hair care products.

I liked Metallica...  until they put out Load.     I liked a few things Mustaine and Anthax did.   Not into Slayer at all.

Meanwhile,  have fun at that sausage fest  ::)     Yeah... hanging out with thousands of sweaty shirtless drunk dudes in the pit sounds like a really great time  :eek2:
