The chain driven, screw pontoons pull it a long the snow like it was nothing.

I've seen the video before but not that color pic of the thing (did Brock post a link to it before?).  It is wild for sure.  Somewhere I have pics of a Model T or Model A with skis and tracks but that is nowhere as radical as that thing.

That's a cool video. Wonder will a charger body fit on that frame?

Wow. Could you imagine the looks you'd get cruising down a snowmobile trail with that.

That's very impressive, I'm honestly surprised that idea wasn't more widely used. Probably the cost...looks like it could have been 1/3rd the cost of another tractor or car, maybe.

The main weak kink of course, would be the long chains & large pulleys hanging out there to get whacked by stuff. The chains would also require constant oiling, to keep from wearing prematurely. A broken chain, means you can only chase your tail...then the chick magnet feature is instantly thrown out the window. :-\

I love looking at old technology like that...especially noticing of how many potential hazards there are. The main glaring hazard of course, is that until the very end summertime shot, there was no thought of putting a guard over the chain...ya know...just in case? :smilielol: And on the tractor, there's no guards to keep your feet away from the pontoons & being sucked under. Friggin' lawyers would have a field day on that one.

Still, that's a pretty cool concept, thanks for sharing the link.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Would have made a cool propulsion system for a tank. :scratchchin:
