'68 forward light harness question

I just put in my new forward light wiring harness and everything is all good, but I'm wondering what this connector and the 2 leads are?

 for  hood mounted turn signals  ,
when they are not fitted  , the male connector  is  all that it there  !

AHA! I knew it had to be something simple! I couldn't for the life of me think of or find anything in the bay that that would go to. Thanks buddy!

Good deal! I guess I can store the female part away for when and if I ever get hood turn signals! It's gonna bug the crap out of me having an empty conector though!

yeah , empty connector  !!  lot of chargers were like that !!  , even on this loaded 69 charger R/T

i  would just pack the connector with some dielectric grease to stop corrosion/ oxidisation
