71 and 74 charger fuel sending unit compatability

Does anyone know if you can use a 71 fuel sending unit in a 74 tank? I need to swap up to a 3/8 unit and I find the 71-73 style all over.

HONESTLY I never have found ANY DIFFERENCE between 71/74 units. I have a 74 and removed a 73 once and they were EXACTLY the same ones.

I think they note some difference JUST because the gas tank diff so asume they are diff too.

On pics, I also never have found any diff
