The trifecta is now complete (Got another 2nd gen Charger)

This one will end up being my 2 year old son's car down the road. He is already car crazy like his old man.   It will probably take me that long to finish anyway.(I really hope not)

The deal is my brother-in-law owed me some money and I agreed to take one of his project 1970 Charger 500's on partial trade. I found the car a few years ago for him and now he decided to part with it. It is originally a 383 4 bbl, automatic, Hemi orange, charcoal interior, black top, A/C, and column shift with buddy seat.

The car was hit in the front years ago and basically moved through various owners partially fixed. Good thing is that it was always kept inside. The body is pretty solid except for the lower rear quarters and the damage in front. It has a rebuilt 440 and transmission now. I was friends with the old guy that did the engine work and it was done right.

My first idea was to build a Daytona clone out of it. That quickly got vetoed by my wife due to the cost and because I have a complete front clip left from my '69 Charger resto. So it looks like a General Lee may be in the future or at least a Hemi Orange '70 cloned to a '69.   Still kicking that around in case a cheap complete '70 front clip falls in my lap.

I can't get pics right now because it is stored away for the winter. It is definately going to be a long term deal anyway. I might pull the 440 out and put it in my '68 as well. Something tells me a nice low mileage '76 400 automatic drivetrain I have out of a New Yorker would be good for my kid to learn with compared to a hot 440.

So add another project car to the list but the price was right and it is a pretty solid car, especially for Wisconsin.

I just saw a complete 70 clip for sale somewhere but I don't remember where exactly. It was either here or Moparts I'm sure.

I have seen one recently also. I think they want almost what I have in the whole car at this point without a hood. I have time to look around so not in a huge rush. My little tyke loves the Dukes though. Still working the Daytona angle with wifey but no dice right now.

If you decide you want a 70 nose, Jeff ( member name- 69rtse4spd ) may have one.  Last I knew, he did have a complete 70 front end.  He is a super guy, and more than fair on his prices.

If a '70 clip comes available for a good price I would consider it.

Here are some of the parts that I have stashed away that could go toward this "Little Tyke" build instead of just sitting. I have $243 in all of this as it is all I had the day I found it and the guy wanted to sell. I also have the original fenders from my '69 that are decent but need a little rust repair and a good hood somewhere in storage. All are plenty good for a driver. The rest of the body is in decent shape including a rock solid rear window area.
